Deer Creek Inn has a special spa package. Located across the street from the inn are Trish King, CMT and Carol Casey, Aesthetician. For $99 Trish will treat you to a full body massage and Carol can pamper you with a neck and upper-back massage and facial treatment. Both treatments are approximately an hour long. So relax at Deer Creek Inn and be pampered inside and out. Trish is a Phillips School of Massage graduate. Her favorite massage technique is of an eclectic nature using several modalities that may include a mixture of Hot Stone Therapy, Aromatherapy, Swedish/Deep Tissue Combination, Acupressure, Reflexology, or Reiki. Carol is a licensed Aesthetician. She is certified and specializes in Corrective Medic-Facials and Advanced Chemical Peels. Please inquire about the many additional Spa/Body Treatments Carol can provide. Birthdays, Anniversaries, even marriage proposals, we know how special that time can be. We are now offering our guests the opportunity to purchase a special “Celebration Basket.” We offer some of the world’s finest chocolates from our own local chocolatier along with a festive bottle of champagne, glasses, and a unique flower arrangement selected especially for you. All in one beautifully decorated basket, just for your enjoyment. Thursday Night Theater Package Nevada City boasts the longest continuously operating theater in the gold country right here in our town. The Foothill Theater is utilized by the Foothill Theater Company, a professional theatre company which operates February-December, producing a variety of works including new plays, classics, contemporary comedy and drama, and an annual family-friendly holiday production. So, come see what all the buzz is about. After wine service with Ken and Eileen, you will be shuffled off to one of Nevada City's favorite eateries for supper and then directed to your theater seats for an evening we are sure you will enjoy. Afterwards, stroll down the hill to the inn and we will provide a decadently delicious chocolate dessert to go with our after dinner port in the parlor. Have you heard about the hottest game sweeping the country? It's called Mexican Train Dominoes. It's easy to learn, it's fast-paced and it's just plain fun. AND we play it (tournament style) here at the inn. Each Sunday evening after supper, Ken and Eileen set up either the table in the sitting room or dining room for our guests to play. It's one activity that even they get to join in. Whether you need to put off facing the office for just one more day, or just anxious to avoid the Sunday night rush down the hill, come join us for a little fun. We promise it will be the best way to start your week. Taking your child to Camp Augusta this year? Why not make it a family affair and treat yourself to some time away. The difference is that your camping experience will not only include quiet time by the creek, but also a three-course gourmet breakfast, wine service and an unlimited supply of our famous brownies and chocolate chip cookies. Seems like almost every weekend in Nevada City and Grass Valley brings new adventures and sights. Simply check out the Nevada City Chamber of Commerce. Weddings, Family/Friend Reunions How about renting the house and grounds for your special event. You can celebrate family and friend reunions or have a small wedding ceremony under our trees next to the creek. We have a plan that can meet your needs. Let us be your "Friend in the Business." Deer Creek Inn is already well known for its three course gourmet breakfasts including such items as Angelic Bananas, Artichoke Oven Omelets, or a Finnish Pancake. Now, guests of the inn will have an opportunity to experience supper the way only Eileen can prepare it. Prior to owning Deer Creek Inn, Eileen's specialty was the grand dinner party. Themed events were always the norm and great wine pairings were eagerly anticipated. There were bowls of "Green Grape Gazpacho" paired with a crisp Gewurztraminer, followed by "Orange Avocado Salad." The main course might include "Prime Ribs of Beef in Mushroom Sauce" paired with a hearty Cabernet Sauvignon or "Apricot Glazed Chicken" paired with a Johannesburg Riesling. Dessert, Eileen's favorite, might have been an "Olallieberry Cobbler" topped off with a selection of Late Harvest Riesling or Zinfandel. The Winemaker's Weekend starts on the Friday evening with a Taste of Nevada County, where one of our local winemakers will pour their wines for us. The chosen winemaker will talk about the winemaking processes that are utilized at their respective winery. Then on Saturday evening we will enjoy our six course gourmet dinner hosted by yet another Nevada County winemaker. We like to end the evening with live entertainment. So plan to stay at Deer Creek Inn for good food, good wine and good company .................. Imagine returning from dinner and surprising your loved one with a chilled bottle of champagne, a box of gourmet chocolates, and flowers. We do the work and you'll get the credit!
